It has been a while

It has been a while since I last blogged and I apologise for the delay in getting back in touch with everyone but life has got in the way of keeping in touch with people via social media but it has not meant that I have not been looking at posts on WordPress, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

The website has had a complete overhaul and I am still enjoying my photography, but like all of us there have been times where I have had moments of  “creative block”, and I know that forcing something is not going to create anything that I can be happy with. At this point I step aside and work on a different project such as painting, writing, going for walks without the camera until it hits me to find the direction I want to see my work progressing in. Creating work should be enjoyable, exciting and importantly for yourself but I know this has been really lacking within me as I had really lost my direction in learning the craft of photography. Sometimes a little thing such as buying a new accessory such as a hog hair bristle paint brush or a second hand film camera can be a joy to kick start the creative mojo.

2018 is to see a re-motivated and more communicative James.

You’re absolutely correct about not trying to force the process. Glad to hear you’ve got other projects to work until you’re back to shooting. Cheers.
