Spur of the moment drive up to the Yorkshire dales

The weather forecast for my local area and the Yorkshire Dales were beginning to turn and I knew that I had only a short window of opportunity to drive up into the south west of the Dales and spend what I had hoped would be a at least most of the day exploring the area around Ingleborough . Ingleborough at 723 m or 2,372 ft is the second highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales. Blustery morning clears the cobwebs with a hike on the Peaks

Wind blasting from what felt like all directions, the sun trying to warm the chilly and damp morning air, as a few flurries of snow moistened the exposed face even more, before it was chilled further by the blast of the wind.

But Hey!

This is the great outdoors and I feel lucky to have had the chance to have been able to drop everything for a couple of hours and to get out with the camera.
